Looking for family fun attractions in Myrtle Beach? We spent time at the Ripley’s attractions in Myrtle Beach to help you decide if they are worth including in your Myrtle Beach trip.
The Ripley’s Attractions in Myrtle Beach have always been part of our Myrtle Beach itinerary. It is fun to spend the week at the beach and also have some activities built in.
We recently returned from Myrtle Beach and had an opportunity to experience almost all of the Ripley’s Myrtle Beach attractions.
They ended up being really fun and a great addition to our Myrtle Beach vacation.

What are the Ripley’s Attractions in Myrtle Beach
There are 6 Ripley’s attractions in Myrtle Beach. Some are quick places to visit and others you will want to spend a bit more time.
They are:
- Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach
- Ripley’s Believe It or Not
- Ripley’s Crazy Golf Myrtle Beach
- Ripley’s Illusion Lab
- Ripley’s Mirror Maze
- Ripley’s Haunted House
Cost of Ripley’s Attractions
Ripley’s attractions vary in price. If you plan on visiting many of the attractions it is best to bundle them and book as a combo. If you are only visiting the aquarium check latest ticket deals here.
Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach
Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach is the most popular Ripley’s attraction and for good reason. This aquarium has a lot of things to enjoy.
Ripley’s Aquarium is located at Broadway at the Beach and is not at the same location as the other Ripley attractions.
Guests can view Sloths, Penguins, Sharks, and Sea Turtles. We stopped to visit the Sloths twice because they were so cute!
There are also a lot of hands-on areas where guest can touch jellyfish and other sea life. There is a mermaid show and a play area for young children.
My kids are in their teens now and we still really enjoyed this aquarium. Expect to spend between 1.5-3 hours depending on if you want to see shows, spend time at the play area, or purchase any add-on activites.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not Myrtle Beach
Ripley’s Believe It or Not is an oddities museum located on the main road along downtown Myrtle Beach. It is located on the same street as the other Ripley attractions.
If you plan to visit I recommend doing all of them at one time and purchasing a combo ticket.
The museum has natural oddities and man made oddities. Things like the worlds tallest man and statues made of old car parts. It is an interesting museum and a fun thing to do on a day away from the beach.
It didn’t take us very long to tour, maybe around an hour. They were offering a free “egg hunt” that each of my kids did. There were clues to find eggs at different locations throughout the museum.
Once you found all of them you received a prize from the Super Fun Zone (arcade located at the exit). The prize was “free credits” to the arcade.
It was a really nice surprise and everyone walked out with a small plushie.
Ripley’s Crazy Golf Myrtle Beach
Crazy Golf Myrtle Beach was an absolute blast. Myrtle Beach may be mini-golf capital of the world but Crazy Golf ups the playing. It is unlike a traditional mini-golf course and has fun activities built in.
I loved the zipline-swing hole and the billiards hole. Overall it was a fun time.
Ripley’s Illusion Lab
Ripley’s Illusion Lab is a small space that offers fun photo-ops and optical illusions. It does not take very long to tour and is best to include it in a bundle.
Ripley’s Mirror Maze
The Mirror Maze is similar to the Illusion Lab in that I would include it in the bundle but not as a stand alone attraction. These can take as little or as long as you like. We spent about 10 minutes finding our way out.
Ripley’s Haunted House Myrtle Beach
I wish I could report back better on the Haunted House but we are not a Haunted House family. I did a little research on it and it is definitely scary. There are scare actors and it seems pretty intense.
If you enjoy Haunted Houses I think this will be a solid choice, if not I would skip.
My Review of the Myrtle Beach Ripley’s Attractions
My favorite attractions were the Aquarium and Crazy Golf. The aquarium is so peaceful and beautiful. I love the underwater people mover and spending time seeing all the exhibits.
It can get a bit busy with a lot of families with young kids. To avoid this you may consider an after dinner visit. They are open until 9:00pm or later and I assume it would be a quieter visit this time of day.
Crazy Golf was so unique and fun. If you have teens and older kids it is a great option.
Overall we really enjoyed the Ripley Myrtle Beach attractions and would include them in our next trip to Myrtle Beach.
