Looking for a new way to experience Niagara Falls? Niagara Takes Flight sweeps guests through Niagara Falls on an aerial adventure of culture, beauty, and up close views of Niagara Falls. In this post I share what to expect at Niagara Takes Flight and is it worth including in your visit to Niagara Falls.
Niagara Takes Flight opened in late summer 2025 and is quickly becoming a popular attraction among visitors to Niagara Falls.
This family friendly attraction is worth checking out on your next trip to Niagara Falls Canada. Let’s get into all the details on what makes Niagara Takes Flight a fun experience you should include in your visit to Niagara Falls.
Niagara Takes Flight: What to Know
Niagara Takes Flight is located in the Table Rock Centre building on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It is steps away from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and has parking across the street.
Table Rock Centre is also home to Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Power Station, as well as shops and casual dining. Once you park you have access to many walkable attractions near the Falls.
We spent a full day doing as many attractions as we could fit into a day-read our full 1-day itinerary for Niagara Falls Canada. Even if you have a shorter amount of time it is a good read to learn more about the things to do.
Niagara Takes Flight is a simulator experience much like Soarin at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. The engineers that worked on Soarin were actually part of the planning for this.
Guests travel over Niagara Falls with sights, smells, and sounds making this a fully immersive experience. Guests must be 3ft 4inches to ride. From start to finish the attractions takes about 30 minutes.
Cost
Niagara Takes Flight cost $29.00 (13+) and $19.00 (3-12). There are ticket bundles available for purchase as well.
If you purchase an Adventure Pass you will have to arrive at the Welcome Center ticket booth first thing in the morning to reserve your time slots. Guests can’t reserve time slots unless tickets are purchased individually.
Timed spots may sell out if you do not secure early or visit on a busy day. We ran into this on our visit and I will get into it later in this post.
Our Experience
We arrived at opening of Table Rock Centre and headed to the welcome desk to secure our timed entry for Niagara Takes Flight.
Table Rock Centre is extremely touristy and busy. Lots of tour buses and people, coupled with visiting on a holiday weekend, made things a bit hectic.
We had traveled to Niagara Falls to experience Niagara Takes Flight which had just opened. When we arrived to the ticket booth we were told it was completely sold out for the day. This was a huge disappointment but the ticket agent advised us to head upstairs to the attraction and speak with a ticket agent there.
You may run into this on your visit if you book an Adventure Pass. Adventure Pass times can only be booked in person at the Welcome Center.
If you are staying 2-nights in Niagara Falls you can reserve your ticket time the day ahead but you must do it in person. This can make things a bit more complicated. I suggest booking a reserved timed ticket to be sure you experience the attraction.
Lucky for us we spoke with a team member that was able to fit us in because of no shows. This is not something I would depend on but we were very grateful to not miss this attraction.
As you enter the first room you are surrounded by projections of different time periods of Niagara Falls and the cultural impact of living by the falls. After that guests enter the queue to ride the “elevator” down below the falls.
From there you enter the attraction, board your seat, and prepare for your flight. There is a cubby to leave personal belongings.
The ride itself takes around 9 minutes and is really fun for all ages. There is nothing scary about it and kids that meet the height requirement should enjoy it.
As you exit the ride guests have an option to purchase a photo that you took at the start or exit into the gift shop.
My Final Thoughts
What I really loved about Niagara Takes Flight is that is was so much more than just Niagara Falls. It explored the rich culture, people, and history of Niagara Falls, and the impact living there had on the growth of this area.
If you are a theme park fan, like me, you will appreciate a little feel of Soarin without being at Disney. The most asked question I’ve received is did I feel like it is worth the cost?
Honestly as a stand alone it might be a bit pricey. For my family of five the cost is $240.70 for the attraction. That is a steep price for a 30 minute attraction.
If we purchase the Adventure Pass it would cost $389.85 and include Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight, White Water Walk, and a 2 day WEGO (shuttle bus) pass.
I suggest planning a day of it and bundling your tickets to save the most money if possible.
Despite the cost as a stand alone- it is a superb attraction. From start to finish it is fantastic. The pre-show is entertaining and informative. The ride itself is done really well and has a lot of “Wow” moments. It is also comparably priced to other tourist attractions in the area and in my opinion one of the best attractions you can experience there.
If you are planning a trip to Niagara Falls I think it is worth budgeting to include a few of the Niagara Falls attractions in your day.
