sweet crepes at universal studios florida

At some point the dining became one of the most important parts of our trips to Universal Orlando, and I think it is because the restaurants elevate the entire theme park experience. Universal Studios Florida restaurants have come a long way since my first visit in 2005. Today I am sharing my favorite Universal Studios Florida restaurants as well as a quick guide to show you your dining options at the park.

Since my first trip, Universal has built restaurants that are more immersive in each land and engage guests in the storytelling. Out of all the Universal parks, Universal Studios Florida seems to still be figuring out the immersive dining, but there are a few of my favorites on this list really impressed us with the ambiance and food.

We have been visiting Universal for over 20+ years and try to include a new dining experience with a familiar favorite each time we visit. From dining in Springfield U.S.A. like the Simpsons, to enjoying a meal at the Leaky Cauldron like Harry Potter, the dining will not only be a place for a meal it will be an immersive part of your day at the park.

Let’s start with sharing some of my favorite restaurants at Universal Studios Florida as well as a quick guide with a complete list of dining at the park.

Universal Studios Florida Restaurants- Where We’ve Eaten & Loved

These are my personal top restaurants at Universal Studios that we keep going back to. They have been tried during different trips over the years by my family of 5 with toddlers through teens. We enjoy them and think they are worth including in your Universal Studios touring plan.

Minion Cafe

Details: Illumination’s Minion Land, Quick Service, Mobile Order, $$, Reservations not required

Minion’s Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants at Universal Studios because it has such a fun atmosphere. It is bright and colorful, the menu items are unique, and it is overall a fun dining experience. There is quick service dining with inside seating or a mobile order window if you want to take your food on the go.

We have eaten at Minion Cafe twice and each time I fully enjoyed my meal. The salmon is one of my favorite meals at the park and the kids loved the spaghetti with Minion Tots. Overall the dining experience is bright and fun for families.

London Taxi Hut

Details: At the London area of Wizarding World before bridge, Kiosk, $$, Reservations not required

The London Taxi Hut is a kiosk that specializes in baked potatoes. Not always a great option during a hot and humid Orlando day, but it is still high on my list. On our last summer visit I ordered and then sat in the shade to watch the Blues Brothers Show.

London Taxi Hut is located in the London area of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests will walk by the Knight bus and then it is on your right if you are coming from San Francisco. There is no seating or mobile order here and you can actually walk by without even noticing it is there.

My go-to is Jacket Potato with broccoli and cheddar. My husband loves the Shepherd’s pie potato.

Springfield U.S.A

Details: Springfield U.S.A, Multiple Quick Service, $$, Reservations not required

Springfield U.S.A is the Simpson area of the park that has dining inspired by the popular cartoon. There are numerous dining options in this area. It is a good choice if have a group that wants different things, but also wants to dine together.

  • Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck– taco & nacho food truck, no mobile order or seating
  • Cletus’ Chicken Shack– chicken & waffle sandwich, mobile order at table
  • Duff Brewery– Open-air beer garden
  • Flaming Moe’s– non-alcoholic specialty drinks
  • Krusty Burger– burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches, mobile order at table
  • Lard Lad Donuts- giant pink donut, outside kiosk
  • Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror– salad, turkey wraps, and fruit plates
  • Luigi’s Pizza– pizza, mobile order at table
  • Moe’s Tavern– order a Duff Beer and take a few photos at this recreation of Moe’s Tavern
  • The Frying Dutchman– fried shrimp, calamari, and clam chowder

Springfield U.S.A. has an exterior that looks like multiple restaurants but when you go inside it is one long building with quick service dining. Find a seat, scan the QR code and order from a variety of restaurants. Often we will order clam chowder from The Frying Dutchman and Chicken & Waffles from Cletus’ Chicken Shack from one table. If I get tacos, which I usually do, we get a table, start our mobile order, then I will walk over to the taco truck to order my food.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill

Details: New York, Table Service, $$$, Reservations recommended (Closed through Winter 2026)

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill is the only table service restaurant on my list at Universal Studios Florida. This offers Irish inspired dishes and reservations are recommended. I suggest making them as soon as you know when you want to dine here, usually a few weeks in advance.

The Irish Fish & Chips you can’t go wrong with and we have enjoyed the Shepherd’s Pie as well as the Bangers & Mash. Plus they have a kids menu that offers burgers, chicken tenders, and fruit plates.

Finnegan’s Bar & Grill is closed for refurbishments until winter 2026.

Central Park Crepes

Details: Hollywood, Kiosk, $$, Reservations not required

Central Park Crepes is another kiosk that is one of my favorites. It is located in the Hollywood Blvd area of Universal Studios, near the lagoon and across from Mel’s Drive In. They offer savory and sweet options that are both delicious. They also offer seasonal options. During a summer visit they had a lemon blueberry crepe that was amazing.

There is no seating or mobile order here, you should give yourself a bit of time if you eat here. They make the crepes to-order so they can take time but it is worth it.

Leaky Cauldron

Details: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- Diagon Alley, Quick Service, $$, Reservations not required

Stepping inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- Diagon Alley is one of the most immersive lands I have experienced at a theme park. Leaky Cauldron continues the storytelling with a quick service restaurant that offers traditional British dishes like cottage pie and bangers & mash. They also serve breakfast with a traditional English breakfast.

The food is fantastic and we enjoy the ambiance of dining here. If you want to try a Butterbeer I suggest ordering it here, Frozen is my favorite and pairs well with the fish & chips.

Louie’s Italian Restaurant

Details: New York, Quick Service, $$, Mobile Order, Reservations not required

We have walked right by Louie’s Italian restaurant without even realizing it had indoor seating. I had thought it was a pizza window but the menu offers a lot more. This is a great option if you are looking for pizza options. There is traditional pepperoni and a veggie Bianca pizza that is delicious. There are also pasta entrees like spaghetti and lasagna available for guests looking for a bit more.

Mel’s Drive-In Diner

Details: Hollywood, Quick Service, $$, Mobile Order, Reservations not required

Mel’s Drive-In is set to a 50’s diner with oldies playing on the jukebox and classic American menu items like chili cheese dog and milkshakes. We enjoyed all of our food but my favorite was the cobb salad. This loaded salad was filling and delicious.

Seasonal Dining at Universal Studios Florida

At different times throughout the year Universal Orlando hosts special events like Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, Holidays at Universal and Butterbeer Season. During these times you will find specialty menu items at select locations and pop-ups through all of the parks.

Universal Studios Florida Restaurant- Recap

At the end of the day, here’s what really stuck with me. This is what I’d share if we were talking over coffee to plan your trip.

As you can see there are a lot of dining options at the Universal Studios Florida restaurants and one visit will not accomplish it all. My biggest advice is to include at least one of these places in your day. The food at the parks is as important as the rides and makes for a great Universal Studios experience.

If you are a Harry Potter fan you definitely want to spend time at Leaky Cauldron and Butterbeer is a must. Families traveling with kids will want to enjoy a meal at Minions Cafe for its colorful decor, and guests looking for a break from the park should check out Finnegans, when it reopens.

Universal Studios Florida restaurants give guests a great place to dine that is entertaining and has excellent food. Which ever you pick will be a great addition to your day at the park.
