Celestial Park at Epic Universe will be the entrance hub that will lead guests to the different land portals. Today we are sharing all the details about what to expect at Celestial Park at Universal’s Epic Universe.
Epic Universe will be the third gate opening at the Universal Orlando Resort. It will join Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
There will be five lands at the new theme park. They are: Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon-Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Ministry of Magic.
Celestial Park will be the first thing guests see when they enter Epic Universe. It will be a park like setting with rides, attractions, dining, and shops.
Epic Universe will open in 2025. Let’s get into the details of Celestial Park and what I am excited for in this new land.
Celestial Park at Epic Universe
Celestial Park will be a park like setting but with a constellation theme. With tree lined paths and dancing fountains, this is the perfect starting point for guests visiting the park.
I think this setting of entering another universe with portals to the other 4 lands is a super fun concept and I can’t wait to see how it plays out when we visit.
Rides at Celestial Park
- Stardust Racers: Dual launch coaster reaching heights of 133ft and speed of 62 mpg. This will have a 48″ height requirement.
- Constellation Carousel: Ride celestial lions, tigers, and bears. No height requirement.
- Astronomica: Play area with dancing fountains. (You will get wet!)
The two rides at Celestial Park look great! We drove by Epic Universe in early 2024 and the coaster was built and looks awesome.
At first I wasn’t much interested in a carousel but then I saw the concept art and it is going to be beautiful. I can’t wait to experience both the rides.
Dining and Shopping at Celestial Park
- Atlantic Restaurant: Fine dining restaurant. Guests will dine in an aquarium setting. Reservations will most likely be required.
- Nintendo Super Star Store: Purchase Power Up bands and more Nintendo themed merchandise.
- The Blue-Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant: This themed restaurant will feature a lantern courtyard and neon dragons on the walls. I am expecting this restaurant to also require reservations.
- The Oak and Star Tavern will be a quick-service barbeque.
- Pizza Moon: Quick service pizza place.
- Moonship Chocolates and Celestial Sweets
Shows at Epic Universe
In the center of Epic Universe will be a large water fountain show that will run daily at different intervals. This will be a great place to sit with an afternoon treat for a break.
Helios Hotel at Epic Universe
Opposite the entrance to Epic Universe will be the Helios Hotel. This will provide guests staying at the hotel their own entrance into Epic Universe.
My Thoughts
Overall I think Celestial Park is going to be a great way to welcome guests to Epic Universe. It provides the pathways to the portals that will take guests to different realms in the Universe.
The rides compliment the theme of the area and the restaurants look like an enormous amount of thought went into the theming of them.
My kids are most looking forward to the dual coasters that will appear as constellations shooting through the sky during the night time hours. I am looking forward to the Constellation Carousel.
Celestial Park is going to do exactly what it is intended to do which is to be the bridge from reality to your day at the theme park. It is going to transport guests to take a break from the everyday and enjoy a day at a highly immersive theme park.
