Are you visiting Hersheypark and looking for luxury level accommodations? The Hotel Hershey offers guests 4-star amenities and perks to Hersheypark. In this review I share my Hotel Hershey review and if it is a good choice for your Hersheypark trip.

We’ve stayed as a family of 5 a handful of times at The Hotel Hershey during our visits to Hersheypark. It is a gorgeous hotel that feels updated but locked in time with classic decor and rich history.

From the minute you arrive in the lobby of the Hotel Hershey you are surrounded by classic charm. The stained glass ceiling in the main lobby welcomes you along with the staff at the hotel.

The hotel is the highest price Hershey resort and it feels like an upscale resort that is also family friendly. Let’s dig into all the details and see if The Hotel Hershey is a good choice for your trip. Be sure to read my complete guide to visiting Hersheypark to help plan your visit.

Review of The Hotel Hershey at Hersheypark

We arrived at the Hotel Hershey around 4:00pm and were checked in to our Premium King room. At check in you receive a Hershey chocolate bar for each of your guests! We had the choice of Milk chocolate or Special Dark. It was a delicious way to start our night.

As I mentioned earlier this is the most expensive Hersheypark resort with rates fluctuating depending on the season. Winter and spring rates start around $259.00 a night and summer stays around $459.00 a night.

These prices fluctuate and special offers and deals are offered throughout the year. On-site you will find an indoor and outdoor pool, daily activities, on-site dining, an outdoor garden, and transportation to and from Hersheypark and Hershey Chocolate World.

I really love walking around the gardens and explore the resort. There is so much history and it feels like stepping back into the 1930s.

The Hershey resort really makes things accessible and fun for families. From the welcoming staff to all the comforts of the hotel it was a great place to stay for an overnight stay.

If it is in your budget, it is a fantastic resort to stay at when visiting Hersheypark. Plan resort time during your visit to take advantage of the resort. If you will be spending most of your time at the park, you may not want to splurge on accommodations.

A Brief History of The Hotel Hershey

The Hotel Hershey opened in the early 1930’s through a vision of Milton Hershey. With 170 rooms, Spanish themed patio, a garden, and grand fountains, the Hotel Hershey has remained a must visit when visiting Hershey, PA. It is like stepping back in time to a different era of American history.

Not only has it been beautifully restored, it has won numerous awards year after year for being an incredible hotel.

Hotel Hershey Guest Rooms

The Hotel Hershey has Villas, Woodside Cottages, Standard Room, and Guest Room Suites. The guests rooms keep the charm from when they were built but with updated features. Learn more here.

We stayed in a Premium King room for 1 night.

I was a bit nervous to see the room and if it would fit our family of 5. As the kids are getting older it is becoming more difficult to fit in a standard room but this room worked for us with 3 kids under 10.

The Premium King room at the Hershey hotel has one king bed and a pull-out sofa. The pull-out sofa was comfortable and it was a good fit for our overnight stay.

If you have older kids, teens, or want more privacy you may consider booking 2 rooms or a villa for more space.

Dining at The Hotel Hershey

There are a few options for on-site dining at The Hotel Hershey. They include Chef’s Market (coffee & Breakfast), Trevi 5 (lunch), The Circular, and 1933 Restaurant and Tavern.

We ate at the Circular for the breakfast buffet and I highly recommend it. The Circular is located inside the Hotel Hershey in the Spanish courtyard. The area is so pretty with it’s tiles mosaics and fountain.

The breakfast buffet has something for everyone. There is an omelet station, traditional scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. There is a fruit bar and a pastry area. They even have cereal for your kids.

Even though the Circular is a very nice restaurant, it is also family friendly making it perfect for families who want a nice meal that is welcoming to them. The breakfast was my favorite!

You do not have to be a guest of the Hotel Hershey to book brunch at The Circular. If you plan to stay at a different hotel be sure to make a reservation for The Circular.

It is worth the visit. Plus you can walk around the hotel and gardens after your meal.

After breakfast we headed to explore the grounds a bit. It was unseasonably warm for October and we went outside to explore the gardens, playground, and check out the rest of the resort.
