My Posts on the Universal Theme Parks
We have spent a lot of time at Universal Orlando Resort and have visited Universal Studios Hollywood. If you are planning to visit one of those parks click the link below to browse the archives and start planning. I also share an overview of all the Universal theme parks below.
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando is our “home” park. We are annual pass holders and visit as often as we can. If you are at the beginning stages of planning a trip start here: Universal Orlando Trip Planning Guide for 2024
Universal Orlando has 2 theme parks: Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. In 2025 it will be adding a 3rd gate: Universal’s Epic Universe.
There is also a water park, Universal’s Volcano Bay and a dining and entertainment are, Universal’s CityWalk.
Guests can stay on-site at Universal on-site hotels that are offered in different budget tiers. I go into more details in our guide to Universal Orlando parks and hotels.
Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood is the original Universal theme park. It is located in the Hollywood Hills and offers unique rides and attractions.
We especially loved the Studio Tour, especially since the Orlando park does not have a Studio Tour. Overall if you are planning a trip out west you should consider visiting for a day.
Check out our itinerary of Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal Studios Japan
Universal Studios Japan is located in Osaka, Japan. This is 3-3.5 hours from Tokyo. Universal Studios Japan has Sesame Street, Minion, Harry Potter, Super Mario, and Hello Kitty rides and attractions. Learn more here.
Beijing Resort
Universal Beijing is located in Beijing, China. It has a Transformers land, Kung-Fu Panda area, Minions, Harry Potter, and two on-site hotels. There is also a Universal CityWalk area. Learn more here.
Universal Studios Singapore
Universal Studios Singapore is located in Singapore. There are 6 themed lands, a S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Water Park, Dolphin Island, and hotels. There is also a Shrek Land. Learn more here.
Universal Kids Resort
Located in Frisco, Texas this resort will be for the little ones. With a 300 room themed hotel room, character meet and greets, and family fun attractions this will be a great Universal theme park for preschool age kids. For the latest updates check here.
Universal UK
I don’t have a lot of information on the Universal theme park rumored for the UK. I do know that Universal has purchased land outside of London, close to The Making of Harry Potter-Warner Brothers Studio.
We visited during our trip to London if you want to learn more. This would be a great location and I am excited to learn more!
The Universal theme parks are growing and offer an incredible theme park experience for families. I hope to add more of the parks to our list of places we have visited in the upcoming years.
