The Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe is the last themed land to be announced for the newest Universal theme park. The land sounds incredibly immersive and has a headlining attraction.

This land will join the previously announced lands: Celestial Park, Isle of Berk: How to Train Your Dragon, Super Nintendo Land, and Dark Universe. This park is going to be amazing!

Bringing Harry Potter world to Epic Universe will offer guests 3 unique Harry Potter lands to explore throughout the Universal Orlando resort.

I am so excited to have a brand new theme park join the existing Universal parks. Let’s get into all the details on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-The Ministry of Magic.

Overview of Ministry of Magic

Guests will enter the portal to the new land and be transported to the streets of Paris in the world of Fantastic Beasts. The streets of 1920’s Place Cachée will be bustling with shops, sidewalk carts, and places to practice your magic with interactive wands.

These streets will be larger than life with their smallest building as big as the tallest building at Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.

After exploring the streets guests can travel to 1990s London using the Metro-Floo. This will take guests to inside the British Ministry of Magic.

I am so curious how the Universal creative team is going to create this for guests but I can’t wait to experience it. I remember being impressed the first time I walked through Platform 9 3/4 and I am sure this will be impressive too.

Rides at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Ministry of Magic

  • Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry (40 inch height requirement) Guests will board a lift as they journey through the ministry on the day of Dolores Umbridges trial. This ride will be unlike anything that currently exists and I can’t wait to learn more.

Entertainment at the Ministry of Magic

  • Le Cirque Arcanus: Ring master Skeder has stolen Newt Scamander’s suitcase which contains fantastic beasts. This will be a stage performance with special effects, puppets and live performances.
  • Interactive Wands: Guests can use interactive wands to practice their spells at locations throughout the land. Wands can be purchased at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. Be sure to check out the chandelier inside the shop.
  • Street Entertainment: On the streets of Place Cachée, guests will also encounter students from Hogwarts and Ilvermorny Schools of Witchcraft as well as other visitors and officials.

Dining at the Ministry of Magic

  • Cafe L’air de la Sirene: Guests can enjoy French cuisine at this quick service dining spot. Menu items will inclue pastries, sandwiches, and Butterbeer.
  • Le Gobelet Noir: In Place Cachée is a mysterious meeting place for Dark wizards and witches. Menu will include starters such as soups and salads as well as a variety of entrées and desserts.
  • Bar Moonshine: Here guests will find exclusive beers, wines and cocktails served amid U.S. Quidditch team pennants and other items of wizarding Americana.
  • Bièraubeurre Cart: You must have a Butterbeer cart in The Wizarding World! Guests can stop by the Bièraubeurre cart for their favorite Harry Potter inspired beverage.

My Thoughts

I think this land is going to be the most popular at Epic Universe. The main attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry, is going to be unlike any attraction that has ever been created.

Although it will have thrills, it is family friendly and will appeal to most guests visiting the park. I love that there will be a big stage show. I think that is great to absorb large crowds in the land and it is a smart way to include different creatures from Fantastic Beasts.

The Wizarding World areas at the Universal parks are some of the most immersive lands I have ever walked through. This latest addition will add on to the world class theming and I can’t wait to experience it.

What do you think? Are you planning a trip to Epic Universe?
