These are the top rides at Epcot we always include in our Disney trip plus our favorite Epcot attractions we enjoy.
Epcot at Disney World is a great park with some of the best Disney World rides and attractions. It has a great mix of experiences and rides that make for a fun day at the Disney parks.
Top Rides at Epcot
- Soarin’ Over the World (Soarin’ Over California)
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Frozen Ever After
- Test Track
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (No Stand-By)
The first four rides will see over an hour wait at most times of the day. Even during low crowds expect to wait 60-90 minutes for these rides. If you follow our Epcot itinerary you will wait less!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind uses a virtual queue or requires purchasing an individual lightning lane.
The virtual queue opens at 7:00am and can be booked on the My Disney Experience app. If you do not secure a boarding group try again at 1:00pm.
If you do not want to wait guests can book an individual lightning lane reservation. This price varies and starts around $14.00/per person.
Of course there are more than 5 rides and attractions at Epcot you should do but the ones above are the ones I would prioritize.
Lets get into more details about the top rides at Epcot and the other attractions at Epcot I think you should include in your day.
Best Rides at Epcot
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Guardians is the most popular ride at Epcot. This thrill ride is a family friendly roller coaster set to a fun soundtrack. At this time there is no stand-by line. Guests must join the virtual queue or purchase an individual lightning lane.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a family fun 3D trackless ride that is a new ride to the France pavilion. It is a copy of the attraction at Disneyland Paris and a great addition to Epcot.
Soarin’ Around the World
Soarin’ is a simulator type attraction. Some people that do not like heights might not enjoy this but most people find it okay. It is inside the Land pavilion.
Frozen Ever After
Expect long lines for the Frozen Ever After attraction. This boat ride features Elsa, Anna, Sven, and Olaf on an adventure. It is a really cute ride for all ages.
Test Track
Test Track allows guests to create and customize their own car. Then put it to the test against the elements. The ride ends with a speed test reaching up to 60mph. It is the fastest ride at Walt Disney World theme park.
Test Track is great for all ages but has a height requirement of 40inches.

Top Attractions at Epcot with Genie+
The Epcot ride list below includes the rides that offer Genie+. The ones I recommend prioritizing are in bold. They are the most popular rides at the Disney World theme park.
- Disney and Pixar Short Films
- Frozen Ever After
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Mission: SPACE – Green or Orange
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Spaceship Earth
- Test Track
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Turtle Talk with Crush
After the initial popular rides I would refer to the My Disney Experience App to decide my next Genie+ choice. I usually look to see what rides have current long lines as well as what times are available for their Genie+ reservations.
If they are running out of passes I will book those choices or I will book the soonest time to avoid any wait times.
If you do not purchase Genie+ the best ways to avoid long wait times is to arrive at least 30 minutes before park opening and ride your top rides first. Then we usually take a break at our resort and return in the evening hours for shorter wait times. This is my advice for any Disney Park!
Rides at Epcot with Single Rider Line
Test Track and Soarin’ Over the World are the only rides at Epcot with single rider line. These are not always available so check with a cast member during your visit.
Top Things to Do at Epcot that Are Not Rides
There are some attractions at Epcot that are not rides but are still worth including in your day. They are:
- Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
- Explore the Pavilions at the World Showcase
- Meet characters: Figment, Princesses, Anna & Elsa, Up-to-date characters listed on the app.
- Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure
- Visit the Aquarium at The Seas with Nemo
- If visiting Epcot with kids participate in the Kidcot Fun Stops.

Our Favorite Must Do at Epcot
Lastly I wanted to share our favorite “Must Do at Epcot” rides and attractions. These are the things we always do on our visits.
Pick Up a Snack from Las Halles in France
One of my favorite places to get a snack is Las Halles in the France pavilion. There are many options here from traditional baked goods to sandwiches.
Everyone in our family like the traditional baguette.
Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure
This is an interactive game guests can play on their device. Download the Play Disney Parks mobile app to help solve mysteries and find some fun hidden secrets along the way.
This is located in the World Showcase pavilion and you will have to walk around to find the answers to your questions. Cast Members will also interact with you and help if you need it.
Explore the Japan Pavilion
The Japan Pavilion has a large gift shop as well as a museum area to explore. We really like checking out this area especially on hot days.
Living with the Land
Living with the Land is a slow-moving boat ride that goes through a greenhouse and talks about resources of the Earth. A lot of the food grown in this area is used in the restaurants at Epcot. This is a Disney fan favorite!
The Seas Aquarium
The Seas Aquarium is home to many sea creatures as well the the Finding Nemo attraction, The Seas with Nemo and Friends. This is a great area for all ages. The ride is one of my favorite rides at the park.
This area also has the interactive show Turtle Talk with Crush.
Take Time to Explore the Different Areas of Each Country in the World Showcase
A lot of time at theme parks guests are rushed from one thing to the next. If you can I suggest taking time to explore the different shops and show within each of the countries.
Each one has different food items and unique things to discover.
Ride the Less Busy Rides
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros and Journey Into the Imagination with Figment are two attractions people either love or hate. Try them for yourselves to decide how you feel.
Gran Fiesta Tour is a boat ride searching for Donald Duck lost in Mexico. This is located in the Mexican Pavilion.
Journey Into the Imagination is a dark ride that tests your senses. It is narrated by Figment. This is located in World Celebration.
We think the top rides at Epcot are great additions to your Disney World vacation. These rides plus the other fun attractions make for a great day at the park.
