Disney theme parks are magical and allow families to take a break from their daily lives to step into storytelling and experience incredible rides and attractions.
We have been creating memories at the Disney Parks since our very first visit as a family of 5, eleven years ago. It was interesting visiting a theme park with 3 kids under five but after that trip we were hooked. Disney parks have been part of our family vacations ever since.

My Posts on the Disney Theme Parks
Walt Disney World is our “home” Disney Park but we have visited Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. We have also done a Disney Cruise which I am including in this space because often a Disney Cruise and Disney World vacation go together.
Walt Disney World Resort
Walt Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida and is the largest Disney theme park resort. It has 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
It also has two water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, as well as shopping, dining, and entertainment at Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World Resort is home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Pandora-The World of Avatar, and Toy Story Land. There are over 30+ on-site Disney resorts making it a vacation destination in its own.
Disneyland Resort
Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California. It is home to the original Disney Park, the one (and only park) that Walt Disney walked through. It holds a lot of nostalgia for Disney fans.
The two parks are Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. There is also a Downtown Disney area for shopping and dining, and 3 on-site hotels.
Many people stay off-site when visiting Disneyland because of the close proximity and lower prices. There are over 30+ hotels within walking distance to the Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is located in Chessy, France which is about a 45 minute train ride outside of Paris. It has two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.
There is also dining and shopping area called Disney Village as well as 7 on-site resorts. We stayed at Disney Newport Bay Club and really enjoyed our stay.
Tokyo Disney Resort
Tokyo Disney Resort is home to two Disney theme parks: Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Seas. There are 6 resorts including a Toy Story themed resort. Learn more here.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Hong Kong Disneyland has one theme park and 3 on-site resorts. They are opening a Frozen themed land in 2024! Learn more here.
Shanghai Disney Resort
Shanghai Disneyland has a Zootopia themed land and 2 hotels, including a Toy Story Hotel. Learn more here.
The Disney theme parks continue to add new and exciting attractions to their theme parks! We love visiting year after year to see what is new and experience our favorites.
